  1. NEWDLG v1.2 Merlin

  4. What does it do?
  5. ----------------
  6. You can patch the "Open file" requester, to get a nicer one (IMO).
  7. Have a look at window.jpg to see for yourself.
  8. (The colors are my own only, and will not affect your system.)
  9.  
  10. This is ONLY intended for OS/2 Warp 4 - Merlin. It sets the font to WarpSans.9
  11. which is not included in any other version (so far..).
  12. Get NewDlg v1.1 for usage in OS/2 Warp 3.

  14. I resized/moved/reordered the items in the dialog and added some hotkeys.

  21. Have a look at this dialog and compare it with the OS/2 standard.

  38. Stuff required:
  39. ---------------
  40. OS/2 Warp v4 (Not v3 or below!)
  41. RC.EXE (Included in OS/2)
  42. Resource Manager, ResMgr, Included in archive.

  44. Usage:
  45. ------
  46. 1.  Make a backup of your \OS2\DLL\PMSDMRI.DLL (just for sure..)
  47. 2.  Copy x:\OS2\DLL\PMSDMRI.DLL (x: = OS/2 drive) to the current directory
  48. 3.  Run "PATCH.CMD PMSDMRI.DLL"
  49. 4.  Run "UNLOCK.EXE x:\OS2\DLL\PMSDMRI.DLL" (x: = OS/2 drive)
  50. 5.  Copy the patched PMSDMRI.DLL over the old one
  51. 6.  Reboot.
  52. 7.  Connect to the Internet.
  53. 8.  Send an thank-you-email to "Tomas Ögren" <stric@ts.umu.se>
  54. 9.  Send an e-mail to IBM and tell them to include my dialog in future OS/2's
  55. 10. Enjoy.
